After years of loyal service, growers sometimes desire a new roof washer. Because of exchange or the relocation of companies, we sometimes have the opportunity to offer a used Rotowas, Topcleaner or Roofmaster-light.
The lifespan of our installation is long, sometimes up to 30 years! For that reason we often provide “retired” machines a renewed life on another location.
Of course we revise these machines, with new parts and litterally give them a good brush. In that way a a second hand machine can be offered for an attractive price that can harvest daylight for many more years to come.
In our workshop we are currently working on the complete revision of a 4m installation.
After being thoroughly checked by our team and equipped with new brushes, parts and steering, this is a machine you can use for many more years.
If you are interested in this installation, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Peter van Schie, owner of Gällenäs Gronsaker AB in Bralanda, Zweden, has purchased a totally revised machine from us in 2020.
“Because of the rather small surface of 5000m, on which we grow several types of vegetables, it was very interesting for me to buy a second hand machine. A new machine was definately a bridge too far.
This machine was traded in by an English customer and was renewed by the specialists at Besseling Techniek. It does what it should do and I like the fact that we don’t have the slightest notion that this machine has washed many meters already. It was equiped with a new steering unit, brushes, hoses, cables drive gear and even with the mobile application. I can start the machine when I am at home on my couch, or even when I am not around.
When I think of it, it is quite funny. When this machine was originally built, mobile phones were hard to find haha”.
Circular, green and sustainable
Besseling Techniek has been circular, green and sustainable since the start of the company more than 30 years ago. Long before it was hip and happening.
For us it is not a trend that we follow, it is a part of our business DNA, a core value, an obviousness and, admittedly, a challenge now and then.
It goes without saying, for us and our employees, that waste is properly separated, materials are reused and we act as green and sustainable as possible. We do not see an old machine that customers have written of as a piece of scrap, but as a way to rediscover the qualities of our products and our company. After all, not every customer has the budget to purchase a new installation. By offering a “golden oldy”, we offer the opportunity to get to know our company at a friendly rate.
Our company’s philosophy and way of doing business is not being left unnoticed. Several media already have publiced articles about us and the way we work. Please find herewith a link to the Dutch organisation to promote circular industry.
“Flexibility made the difference for us”
Hall Hunter grows strawberries, in the summer on 260 hectares of land, in the winter and spring in 30 hectares of greenhouses. The greenhouses are washed three to four times a year with 4 machines. “We need to wash to keep the light input up to standard.
“Sustainability not as a fashion word, but as a promise”
At 5 locations in the Netherlands, Arcadia grows a total of more than 20 hectares of chrysanthemums and annually produces 50 million high-quality branches. About 10 years ago, the first Roofmaster was purchased and it is still being used.
